About Us

Before founding The R. L. Hawkins Group, Inc., in 1995, Robert L. Hawkins had a distinguished 17-year career at The Coca-Cola Company. His journey began with an internship under the vice president of Marketing, followed by roles as a territory sales manager in Washington, D.C., and a buyer of production packaging materials for Coca-Cola USA’s syrup plants. During his tenure, Robert became Coca-Cola's go-to expert for knowledge regarding the packaging industry, especially the corrugated and plastic industries.

Leveraging the expertise and industry insights gained at Coca-Cola, Robert launched  The R. L. Hawkins Group, Inc., in 1995, transitioning from buying to selling the same packaging materials. The Coca-Cola Company became his first customer in 1996 and remained a valued partner until 2020. Like Coca-Cola, most of his clientele has historically consisted of Fortune 500 companies, but The R. L. Hawkins Group, Inc., is now poised to expand its customer base to include businesses of all sizes.

For over 24 years, we have maintained a strong relationship with our largest customer, a testament to our commitment to excellence.  From day one, our mission has been to provide the highest quality products at competitive prices, backed by unmatched customer service.

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new member to our team to assist us:  Michael A. Hawkins, who holds an M.A. with a thesis in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. We look forward to the contributions that Michael's analytical and interpersonal skills will bring to the sales and marketing team at The R. L. Hawkins Group, Inc.
